You've heard of a "Sheetz run", right? How about a Sheetz-to-Sheetz run? Because runners are always looking for new challenges, we've laid out a 14-mile non-loop course from one Sheetz to another in King George, Virginia. With the exception of the first mile, it's all run on trails - specifically the Dahlgren Railroad Heritage Trail. The course is flat, straight and quite secluded. Whether you're new to running and looking for a significant challenge or you're a marathoner looking for a unique long run, the Sheetz-to-Sheetz Fun Run may be for you! Be sure to check our FAQs page for answers to all your questions.
New for 2019: this event benefits our charity partner, Ainsley's Angels of America!
Get Involved
You're just 3 steps and 14 miles from conquering the Sheetz-to-Sheetz Fun Run!
This is a run, not a race. As such, there's no registration fee, no t-shirt, no race bib, no timing chips, no results, no winner and no pressure! We're just keeping the good stuff: fellowship, a shared physical challenge, great scenery, freebies and a genuine feeling of accomplishment waiting for you at the finish line. That's fun and all, but it's not enough. While we're enjoying the trail, our friends and neighbors with special needs often cannot do the same. Luckily, there's an active non-profit organization (Ainsley's Angels) that steps in to promote inclusion and enable people of all abilities to participate in races from 5k to 26.2 and beyond. With your tax-deductible donation (in lieu of a race fee), Ainsley's can outfit their racing chairs with special off-road tires so anyone can enjoy the same trails you're about to conquer!
As their motto says, "Together we shall labor as one for the greater good of all."

Step 2: DONATE
Our mission is to provide a fun, free event to support our charity partner, Ainsley's Angels of America. The only way we can do that is if participants donate. It's fast, easy and secure. A modest $25 donation is requested per runner, but you may give any amount.

Step 3: RUN
On race day, lace up and join us at Sheetz #573 (across from King George Middle School). You'll follow a 14-mile, non-loop course (mostly on trails) to the Dahlgren Sheetz. To get back to your car, we offer very limited reserved seating on our shuttle van. Once those seats are gone, you'll need to arrange your own pickup or shuttle.
For details, check out the Course page.
